Home Gardens Personal Injury Lawyer

Home Gardens is a small unincorporated community between the cities of Riverside and Corona. It had 11,203 residents in the 2020 Census, with a median age of 34.5, and nearly half of its households include children. It isn’t a city: it sits inside Corona’s sphere of influence, but county agencies still serve it. Most residents speak Spanish at home, about 57% according to American Community Survey estimates.

Because Home Gardens isn’t a city, people are often unsure who wrote their crash report or where to ask for it. A Home Gardens personal injury lawyer can sort that out, deal with the insurers and keep your claim on schedule. Our Riverside office is about 10 miles away. Lea esta página en español.

Magnolia Avenue, Warehouses and Big Trucks

Riverside County’s economic development agency describes Home Gardens as an unincorporated area between Riverside and Corona that is split by Magnolia Avenue. It says the west side is largely industrial, including a large manufacturing and warehouse facility, and the east side has service businesses and homes. Just across the line in Corona, the city reviewed plans in 2023 for a 334,520-square-foot industrial and warehouse project on Magnolia Avenue near El Camino Avenue.

Industrial land on a busy arterial means semi-trucks and delivery vans sharing lanes with commuters, school traffic and people walking to bus stops. Truck cases are different from ordinary car crashes. The trucking company, the driver and sometimes a shipper or maintenance company may each carry separate insurance. Two Agencies, Two Kinds of Reports

In unincorporated Riverside County, the work is split:

  • Traffic collisions: the California Highway Patrol handles traffic on unincorporated county roads. The CHP Riverside Area office is at 8118 Lincoln Ave, Riverside, CA 92504, (951) 324-7210.
  • Crimes and other calls: the Riverside County Sheriff’s Lake Mathews Station, 9 Latitude Way, Corona, CA 92881, (951) 272-5600. The station opened on March 1, 2023, and lists Home Gardens among the communities it serves.

If your crash happened a few blocks away inside Corona or Riverside city limits, that city’s police department may have the report instead. The card the officer handed you names the agency.

CHP reports can be requested online or with form CHP 190 by drivers, injured people, vehicle owners, parents of minors and their attorneys. The fee is $10 for 1 to 25 pages.

Getting Medical Care

  • Corona Regional Medical Center, 800 South Main Street, Corona, has a 24-hour emergency department.
  • Riverside Community Hospital, 4445 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, is an American College of Surgeons–verified Level I trauma center. It sits on the same Magnolia Avenue corridor, several miles northeast.

Which Court Hears a Home Gardens Case

Home Gardens uses the Corona ZIP code 92879. Under Riverside Superior Court’s filing order effective August 1, 2026, cases from that ZIP go to:

  • Unlimited civil cases (over $35,000): Riverside Historic Courthouse, 4050 Main Street, Riverside.
  • Limited civil cases: Corona Courthouse, 505 S. Buena Vista Avenue, Corona.

Most injury lawsuits must be filed within two years. If a county road defect may have played a part, a written claim to the county is usually due within six months. See the statute of limitations for car accidents in California.

Small Crash, Real Injury

A truck backing out of a loading dock can clip your car at walking speed and still leave you with a neck injury that keeps you off work. No case is too small to call.

Home Gardens Injury FAQs

Is Home Gardens part of Corona?

No. It’s unincorporated Riverside County inside Corona’s sphere of influence. It uses a Corona ZIP code, but the CHP and the Sheriff serve it, not Corona Police.

A truck hit me on Magnolia Avenue. Who pays?

Often the trucking company’s insurer, and sometimes more than one company is involved. Get the truck’s company name and DOT number from the door if you can, and photograph the scene.

Who has my report if I crashed on the 91?

The CHP, which patrols the state freeways. On Home Gardens streets, it’s usually the CHP Riverside Area office as well, because it handles traffic on unincorporated roads.

Can I talk to someone in Spanish?

Yes. Our team speaks Spanish. Call (951) 583-1900 or text (949) 776-8964, any time.

What does a consultation cost?

Nothing. It’s free.
