Cathedral City Personal Injury Lawyer
Cathedral City sits between Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage and, with 51,493 residents in the 2020 Census, it’s the second-largest of the Coachella Valley’s nine cities after Indio. It incorporated in 1981 and takes its name from Cathedral Canyon to the south, not from a church. About 47% of residents speak Spanish at home, according to American Community Survey estimates.
Our firm serves Cathedral City clients from our Riverside office. We have no office in the valley, so we work with you by phone, text and video, in English or Spanish. Lea esta página en español.
An Old Trail Under Today’s Traffic
The Bradshaw Trail, a stage and freight route from San Bernardino to La Paz starting in 1862, passed through what is now Cathedral City. That route later became the basis for Palm Canyon Drive and Highway 111, which run through the city today. Along that corridor is the Cathedral City Auto Center, a regional car-shopping hub, so test drives and dealer traffic mix with commuters.
Interstate 10 cuts through the north side of the city. Date Palm Drive is the main north-south link between I-10 and Highway 111, and it crosses Dinah Shore Drive and Ramon Road on the way.
Walking and Biking on CV Link
The West Valley segment of CV Link, the valley’s 40-mile path for walkers, cyclists and low-speed electric vehicles such as golf carts, runs 19.63 miles from the Palm Springs Visitor Center to Date Palm Drive in Cathedral City. Where the path meets the street, people on bikes and carts cross traffic. If you were hit there, see our bicycle accident lawyer page.
